The finale of NBC’s singing competition The Voice airs tonight and traders have picked their favorite to win the 29th season.

The market shows Mobile, Alabama, native Alexia Jayy, who is on Adam Levine’s team, in the lead at 79%, followed by Liv Ciara on Kelly Clarkson’s team at 21%. Mikenley Brown, who is also on Clarkson’s team, and Lucas West, who is on John Legend’s team, both sit at 8%.

Alexia Jayy

American Songwriter’s Chris Piner wrote that Jayy “put it all on the line [with her performance when she channeled Aretha Franklin with a cover of ‘I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You).’”

Levine also has some heavy backing for Jayy winning the whole competition. Piner added that Levine “considered her one of the best singers in the competition – ever.”

“You’re like the best singer ever and I love you so much,” Levine said on Monday night’s episode. “You have this larger-than-life persona that you put out and you exude when you’re doing your thing.”

Clarkson may be pulling for her own team members this season, but even she couldn’t deny the power of Jayy’s vocal presence.

“You are so gifted,” Clarkson said. “I loved the whole thing.”

Liv Ciara

Ciara turned in a powerful performance of Irene Cara’s “Flashdance” for her semifinal performance, using her own special hook on the track. It drew more than a few tears from some of the judges.

TV Insider’s Alyssa Norwin wrote in her recap that Clarkson actually cried during one of Ciara’s rehearsals as she prepared for the finals. Legend also called Ciara’s entry “a superstar performance” and agreed with Levine that she would be declared the winner if Monday night was for the whole enchilada.

“I thought I had a good chance of winning this year and the chances are still there,” Levine added, “but they’re not as good as they were before I saw you do what you just did.”

American Idol finale

ABC’s American Idol won’t air its finale until next month. But that hasn’t stopped traders from trading on the outcome.

Hannah Harper is priced as the favorite to win this season. Her chances are currently at 54%, followed by Brooks Rosser at 16%, and Jordan McCullough at 15%.

An official date has yet to be announced for this season’s American Idol finale, but it’s expected to air sometime in late May.

The takeaway:

Kalshi markets now predict:

  • Alexia Jayy winning The Voice: 79%

  • Hannah Harper winning American Idol: 54%
