Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns, Saturday, August 22, 2026
Kalshi's market has the Browns as the stronger side even off an 0-1 start, pricing them at 59% to Buffalo's 41%, as of this writing. The number leans more on roster math than form: Buffalo is resting most of its veterans after a comfortable Week 1 win, while Cleveland's quarterback competition keeps its top offensive players in the game plan longer.
According to Kalshi's 2026 NFL market-implied power rankings, Buffalo enters as the No. 2 team in the league while Cleveland ranks 29th, one of the widest gaps in this week's preseason slate.
Buffalo's injury list is headlined by receiver Keon Coleman, who was seen in a walking boot after Week 1; his status is in doubt as of this writing, and guard Connor McGovern remains out with a separate lower-body issue. Cleveland's report is led by linebacker Carson Schwesinger, who has missed back-to-back practices with what Todd Monken called a minor injury, alongside defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., who has not practiced since Aug. 3.
The clearest new information this week is at quarterback. Shedeur Sanders will make his first preseason start for the Browns, continuing Cleveland's alternating look at Sanders and Deshaun Watson, who started Week 1.
On the other side, Josh Allen is not expected to see much if any action; he handled a brief, efficient Week 1 outing and Buffalo has little reason to expose him to further preseason risk.
That caution extends to both rosters. Coming out of Thursday's joint practices, Brady and Monken agreed that if their top players got what they needed on the practice field, those players would not need to see game action Saturday, a plan that points to a game dominated by backups and roster-bubble players.
Margin of Victory
Cleveland is priced at 53% to win by more than 2.5 points, as of this writing.
Point Total
The total is priced at 51% to go over 36.5 points, as of this writing.
AFC East
Buffalo is priced at 57% to win the AFC East, the top number in the division as of this writing, with New England next at 40%.
AFC North
Cleveland is priced at 5% to win the AFC North, as of this writing, with Baltimore leading the division at 45%.
