Traders don’t seem optimistic that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive will release a new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer anytime soon.
The market for the release date of the game's next trailer shows a 3% chance it will arrive before September and an 18% chance it will arrive before October.

Meanwhile, the market for Grand Theft Auto VI's release date shows a price of 91% that the game will arrive before the end of the year, 90% before December, and 4% before November.
New footage on Netflix
Gamers got their first extended glimpse of the new Grand Theft Auto game on Netflix.
Variety reported that Netflix released an extensive preview of Rockstar Games' highly anticipated title featuring “27 minutes of new Grand Theft Auto 6 content.” The special preview will also be released on YouTube and other social media platforms.
The preview special, titled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, features in-game footage from the PlayStation 5 version of the game. The special preview “marks the lengthiest look fans have gotten at GTA 6 thus far, following two trailers released over the past three years.”
The game takes place in the fictional state of Leonida and follows two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The couple “find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America” after an easy score goes sideways. Jason and Lucia find themselves “in the middle of a criminal conspiracy” as they are “forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
The Verge's Jay Peters reviewed the special Netflix preview for Grand Theft Auto VI and wrote that the game “looks just as great as we could hope for.”
The preview showed some of the missions that players will experience in the game, such as a scene where “it appears you play as Duval as he hangs out of the window of a car that Caminos is driving so he can shoot at police chasing after them.” Players also take control of Caminos as she drives the getaway vehicle.
Other missions featured in the preview include a boat-driving mission, a basketball game, track racing and parachuting.
The New York Times' Christopher Boyd also examined the new footage and compared the game with Rockstar's previous work.
Boyd describes the game as “an evolution of what the studio achieved in 2018 with Red Dead Redemption 2, which told the story of a man unsettled by the erosion of the Wild West. That game’s systems were built to be responsive to a wide array of actions, whether the player was hunting animals, helping someone in hope of a reward, or unrepentantly robbing that person instead.”
Boyd reported that Rockstar assembled “a new team of writers, directors, and producers in Los Angeles that focused solely on creating more realized NPCs” suggesting the studio has placed an even greater emphasis on the game's nonplayable characters.
The extended preview gave fans their longest look yet at Grand Theft Auto VI, but traders don't appear to view it as a sign that another traditional trailer is coming soon.
