Today, Kalshi announced a data integration with CNN, becoming the network’s official prediction markets partner.
Kalshi is the world’s largest federally regulated exchange, having created and established the predictions market category as a financial asset class. Users can trade on real-world events to predict the outcomes of elections, weather, cultural moments, and more. It has become the definitive source for staying informed about the future and is used by reporters, politicians, pundits, Wall Street, and Main Street. It recently called the NYC Mayoral election eight minutes after polls closed, hours before the media.
It’s because of this accuracy that Kalshi’s data will serve as a powerful complement to CNN’s reporting. Journalists can more easily surface credible information to their audiences about the real-time probabilities of future cultural and political events.
The partnership includes:
Integration of Kalshi data across CNN programming, led by CNN Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten. Harry is an expert at translating what data and polling are saying on any given issue, and through this integration, he can tap into real-time prediction markets data to better inform and fact-check his reporting.
Launch of a new Kalshi-powered real-time news ticker that will run during segments that feature Kalshi data.
CNN newsroom, data, and production team access to Kalshi’s real-time political, news, and cultural data for developing key storylines and visuals.
Here’s an example of what the partnership will look like.
