Prediction market exchange Kalshi today released a new commercial starring multi-platinum reggaeton artist J Balvin. The spot will debut across social media, television, digital, and streaming platforms, reaching millions of fans during the World Cup.

The ad takes place in a hotel room where Balvin, surrounded by disco lights and blasting music, tries to explain to a nearby bellhop why he uses Kalshi. The catch: neither of them can hear the other. After a few rounds of the two yelling "KALSHI" back and forth, the camera reveals the bellhop was just a few feet away the entire time. Balvin, unbothered, gives up and turns the disco lights on and they both start to dance.

The commercial is the first installment in a broader creative partnership between J Balvin and Kalshi, building on the momentum of previous celebrity-driven campaigns featuring Bryson DeChambeau, Timothée Chalamet, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and others.

"We've seen a massive influx of Spanish-speaking traders joining Kalshi since the start of the World Cup," said Clarissa Bronfman, Culture Growth at Kalshi. "Partnering with a multi-platinum global artist like J Balvin was the most obvious choice to celebrate this momentum."

"I've always followed my intuition, even when the path wasn't clear," said Balvin. "What I love about Kalshi is that it gives everyone the chance to think for themselves and trust their own perspective. The future doesn't just happen to you. You have a say in it."
