'One of the first signs of understanding is the wish to die trade event contracts.' -Kafka
Last night, Indiana absolutely manhandled Oklahoma City, forcing the championship series to a seventh game. That's great news for sports fans and Kalshi traders alike, who are looking forward to an exciting finale (click here to trade Game 7).
But that's horrible news for me, since I'm once again forced to write about one of the biggest events in sports without using player names, team names, or even the name of the league involved.
Yes, it's a Kafkaesque nightmare. But in the interest of not being replaced by AI, here's a breakdown of what Kalshi traders think is in store for Sunday's big basketball game, as well as a look at what they are forecasting for the offseason.

Indiana was an underdog going into the series. And despite an extremely impressive showing, including a stunning Game 1 comeback on the road, an underdog they remain.
Traders currently price OKC's chances of winning at 73%. That's down from a high of over 92% before Game 6, but still impressive considering last night's bloodbath.
Will Indiana prove its doubters wrong on the road in Game 7? Anyone who bought "Indiana Yes" yesterday for just $0.08 certainly hopes so.
Note: We also offer a "Championship: Series Score" market on how many games each team will win. But since we're in Game 7, it's become a de facto championship market. That said, be sure to check it out before you trade, since minor price discrepancies could save you some cash.

I'd like to give you my deep insights into who will win this year's championship series MVP, but our company attorney is in a meeting, and I don't know if I'm allowed to even write the players' names, or make up similar names like "Chai" and "Rascal."
But obviously, it will likely come down to what happens in Game 7, and which team wins. That's not exactly groundbreaking commentary, but hey, lawyers gonna lawyer.

Yes, it's almost the end of the line for another pro-basketball season. It's also likely the end of the line for at least a few head coaches.
Think you know which ones will get the axe? Then check out our market on who will be shown the door.

Yes, men's pro-basketball is coming to a close. But if you want to keep trading on basketball, and also watch some players beat the hell out of each other, you're in luck, because women's pro-basketball is just getting started.
Currently, our traders price New York as the favorite with a 45% chance of winning the title in October. But until then, you can also trade on all the regular season and playoff games along the way.

Another big event during the offseason will be the draft. And as the chart above clearly demonstrates, our traders have some very strong feelings about who will be picked first.
Think you know something that most of our traders don't? Here's your chance to turn a penny into a dollar. Or maybe it's just your chance to give someone else a penny.
We also offer individual markets for the first 10 draft picks (see "related markets" below), and some of the later picks will probably be a little more interesting.

If trading on individual draft picks seems too daunting, maybe our market on the top 5 draft picks this year is more your speed. If you think an individual player will be one of the first five chosen, buy the "Yes" side. If not, buy "No." It's not rocket science. That said, we also offer markets on rocket science (click here to trade those).
