Rain pushed ALCS Game 4 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians to Saturday, with first pitch now set for 8 p.m. ET at Progressive Field. Kalshi traders have the Rays at 50% to win Game 4, as of this writing, with the Guardians at 50%.

Cleveland leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Friday's postponement was the first in an ALCS since 2019, and it removes any breathing room from the back half of the series: Game 5 moves to Sunday at 5 p.m. ET in Cleveland, with Games 6 and 7, if needed, on Monday and Tuesday at Tropicana Field. The winner opens the World Series at Milwaukee on Oct. 23.

Guardians take Game 3 behind Petey Halpin

Petey Halpin's go-ahead two-run homer carried Cleveland to a 3-2 win on Thursday. Gavin Williams struck out nine over five innings and allowed two runs, and he is now 2-0 with a 2.16 ERA and 33 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings this postseason.

The Cleveland bullpen did the rest, retiring 16 of the last 17 Tampa Bay hitters. Daniel Espino, Erik Sabrowski, Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith allowed one baserunner over the final four innings, and Smith stranded a runner at third in the eighth before a 1-2-3 ninth. The Rays struck out 13 times, four of them by Junior Caminero.

Rays vs. Guardians Game 4 odds: Can Tampa Bay even the series?

Kalshi traders have the Rays at 50% to win Game 4, as of this writing, with the Guardians at 50%, a coin flip despite Cleveland's series lead and home field.

Both teams are keeping the starters they had lined up for Friday. Nick Martinez takes the ball for Tampa Bay, while Cleveland goes with a bullpen game opened by Shawn Armstrong. That puts the Guardians' relievers, who just closed out Game 3, back in the spotlight with Game 5 coming the next afternoon and no off day left in the series.

A Cleveland win would put the Guardians one game from their first pennant since 2016. A Tampa Bay win would reset the series at 2-2 heading into a Sunday game in Cleveland.

World Series odds: Brewers wait on the ALCS winner

Kalshi traders have the Milwaukee Brewers at 66% to win the World Series, as of this writing, with the Guardians at 21% and the Rays at 15%. The Brewers swept the Dodgers in the NLCS to reach their first World Series since 1982 and get a week off before Game 1.
