According to Kalshi's college football power rankings, USC enters as the No. 19 team nationally while Penn State ranks 31st.

Penn State lost 34-13 at Northwestern on Oct. 2 and was outgained 506-291. Quarterback Rocco Becht went 26-of-41 for 243 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in that game. The week before, Penn State lost 24-20 to Wisconsin after allowing two touchdowns in the final four minutes.

USC beat Washington 25-21 after trailing 21-10, and quarterback Jayden Maiava went 21-of-34 for 245 yards with one touchdown and one interception. USC coach Lincoln Riley went 4-2 against Campbell when both coached in the Big 12.
