Xavier Sottile leads markets at Kalshi. He is responsible for the generation of new markets - this means taking a contract from an idea to a concrete market with a strictly defined set of criteria, a settlement source, a timeline, and strike prices. It also means taking our markets through the regulatory review cycle.
There’s a lot of work that goes into making our markets tradable on Kalshi, and Xavier is responsible for most of that work.
Education & Career
Xavier is originally from New Haven, Connecticut. There he attended Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School. He joined the debate team because his mother said it would look good on college applications. He then went on to Yale University where he studied History and Economics.
Hobbies & Fun Facts
Xavier’s decision to join the debate team worked out quite well for him. He went on to become New Haven’s Urban Debate League Champion in 2015 and then went on to become the North American Debating Championship winning team in 2019.
In his spare time, you can find Xavier following European politics or attending one of the NYC Trivia Nights.
