São Paulo, March 9th, 2026 XP International, a company within the XP Inc. group, today announces a strategic partnership with Kalshi, a U.S.-regulated prediction market platform, to bring prediction markets to Brazilian investors. The initiative positions XP as the first financial institution in Brazil to bring this new asset class to the country, expanding access to financial instruments already established in developed markets.

Through the partnership, Clear clients who hold an international investment account with XP International will gain access to prediction markets, incorporating into their global portfolios an innovative, complementary instrument aligned with leading international regulatory practices.

Prediction markets are a new category of derivative financial instruments that allow investors to take positions on the outcomes of real-world events like economic and financial indicators. With real-time price formation, these contracts reflect the market’s collective forecast, transforming probabilities into clear price signals.

“XP has always aimed to expand access to new ways of investing. Prediction markets introduce a new asset class to the Brazilian market, offering investors one more tool for scenario analysis, positioning, and portfolio protection. We believe this market has high potential to broaden and complement the current investment landscape,” says Lucas Rabechini, Director of Financial Products at XP Inc.

Innovation Backed by Solid Regulation

Kalshi is authorized to operate in the United States as an event contracts exchange, with federal authority from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the regulatory authority for the U.S. derivatives market. Prediction markets follow the same regulatory framework applied to other financial assets traded in the U.S., such as equities, bonds, and traditional derivatives, with clear rules for price formation, settlement, and governance.

This is Kalshi’s first strategic partnership with a financial institution outside the U.S., demonstrating XP’s role as a leader in introducing innovative financial solutions.

“As a Brazilian, I couldn’t be more excited for XP to be Kalshi’s first brokerage partner outside the U.S. XP is one of Brazil’s largest financial institutions; expanding prediction markets to Brazil is an important step in providing more people around the world with access to fair, safe, and regulated markets,” says Luana Lopes Lara, co-founder and COO of Kalshi.

Pioneering Approach That Expands the Market

Since its founding, XP has played a central role in transforming the Brazilian financial market, leading innovation that has expanded access to products, technologies, and investment models previously available only to a few.

With the partnership between XP International and Kalshi, the company reinforces this trajectory by introducing a new asset class in Brazil, joining equities, ETFs, bonds, and derivatives already available on XP’s international platform, and strengthening the construction of more diversified, informed, and efficient global portfolios.

A New Asset Class Traded Directly Between Participants

The partnership between XP International and Kalshi expands investors’ access to a new instrument for analyzing scenarios and trends, traded directly between market participants without a “house” counterparty. Available to Clear clients with an international account, the solution enhances the product offering with a fully integrated digital experience.

Initially, the focus will be on financial and economic events, given their potential to increase pricing efficiency and improve market information quality. Access will be provided with diligence, aligned with client profiles and regulatory requirements, reinforcing XP’s commitment to financial education, governance, and offering legitimate instruments to help investors make better decisions.

“We are bringing this instrument to help our clients invest better, with more alternatives for exposure to relevant economic events. Just as we democratized access to the stock exchange in the past, we are now taking another step by introducing a market model already used in advanced economies, always with responsibility, education, and governance,” adds Lucas Rabechini.

What Are Prediction Markets?

Prediction markets are financial exchanges where participants trade contracts tied to the outcomes of real-world events, such as economic indicators, inflation data, monetary policy decisions, and other macroeconomic events.

The prices of these contracts reflect, in real time, the aggregated probability the market assigns to a given scenario. In practice, they function as a “thermometer” of participants’ expectations, transforming the so-called “wisdom of the crowds” into objective price signals that can be used by investors, corporations, and other market participants.

This type of instrument complements other assets available on international markets—such as equities, bonds, ETFs, and financial derivatives—expanding allocation possibilities within a global portfolio.
