Why is Thogmartin in the lead?
The housemates will cast their eviction votes on tonight’s episode, and uncertainty surrounding Haley's position appears to have pushed her into danger.
USA Today’s Lori Comstock wrote that Kamu seems to be the main house target, but live-feeds show Haley could be headed out the front door instead. It all depends on who wins the Blockbuster competition.
“If Angela wins BB Blockbuster: Kamu could be evicted over Haley,” Comstock wrote. “If Haley wins BB Blockbuster: Kamu could be evicted over Angela. If Kamu wins BB Blockbuster: Haley could become vulnerable against Angela.”
Recent live-feed discussions suggest that Kamu remains the house's primary target if he loses the Blockbuster competition.
“More recent live-feed discussions suggest the house still prefers to evict Kamu if he remains on the block,” Comstock wrote. “However, Mallory Aurichio and Melody Morris briefly explored scenarios that could keep him in the game before Drew Campbell pushed back, arguing Kamu remains too dangerous to keep.”
Haley remains on the block and vulnerable heading into eviction night. Yash ultimately chose not to use the Power of Veto, leaving the nominations unchanged.
Big Brother Network reported that Yash Patel, this week's Head of Household, also won the Power of Veto. Yash tells Haley “that he wants her to stay in the game. He knows she is a free agent and a strong competitor, which makes it sound like Haley could be the lesser target of the three. That gives her at least a little bit of breathing room, although nothing in this house is ever that simple.”
Instead, Rick Devens used his Diamond Power of Veto to remove Dee from the block and name Kamu as her replacement.
Big Brother Network reported that the move completely upended what had appeared to be a straightforward week.
With Thogmartin and Kirk separated by just six points, the August 20 Blockbuster competition could ultimately determine which contestant becomes the sixth houseguest evicted from Season 28.
Who will win Big Brother Season 28?
Rick Devens is now the frontrunner on the Big Brother Season 28 winner market, though the field remains competitive.
