This year's contestants for the 35th season of Dancing with the Stars will be announced on Wednesday, September 2, and Kalshi traders are already pricing in who will join the cast.
Actor and dancer Harry Shum Jr. and musician Taylor Hanson are current market favorites at 96% and 97%, respectively. Olympic figure skater Amber Glenn and TV chef and entrepreneur Giada De Laurentiis follow at 96% and 95%.

Rumored contestants
Those are not the only celebrities who may be joining the cast.
JustJared.com reported a total of 16 famous names who are rumored or confirmed to be part of the new season. Some of the other names on the list include actress and singer Tatyana Ali, actress Julia Stiles, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Conner Leavitt, model and reality show star Sarah Jane Nader, comedian and content creator Connor Wood, and Paralympic gold medalist Ezra Frech.
Confirmed contestants
So far, only four contestants have been confirmed for the next DWTS season.
People Magazine reported that TV personality and Summer House star Ciara Miller, Love Island finalist Maura Higgins, Savannah Bananas player and influencer Jackson Olson, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! co-host Guillermo Rodriguez are confirmed as contestants. Last season's winning pro, Witney Carson, will partner with Rodriguez. Carson, a two-time Mirrorball champion, announced in August 2026 that she is pregnant with her third child and will compete this season — the first pro dancer in the show's history to do so while expecting.
US Weekly also reported, citing sources, that The Rookie actress Jenna Dewan and The Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron are expected to join the cast. So far, ABC has not confirmed if Dewan and Cameron will be contestants on the new season of the show.
Even though it has not been confirmed, some fans of the show are not happy that Dewan will be competing on the dancing reality series. NJ.com's Sara Donnellan reported that Dewan, who plays Bailey Nune on the ABC cop drama, worked as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson during her 2001 “All for You Tour.” She also busted some moves in the 2006 film “Step Up.”
Controversy
Some fans have argued online that Dewan’s professional dance history would give her an unfair advantage in the competition.
“Well that’s just hideously unfair to the other people,” JosephFinn wrote on the Reddit page for The Rookie.
Other fans defended the casting decision, saying that contestants from all skill levels and walks of pop-culture life have competed in past seasons. Some celebrities with dancing experience who competed on DWTS include singer and dancer JoJo Siwa and dancer and social media star Charli D’Amelio.
“All fields of dance are welcome on this show as long as it’s not ballroom,” DarkEyesZ_23 wrote on Reddit. “That’s the main rule.”
The speculation will not last much longer, with ABC scheduled to reveal the full Season 35 cast Wednesday on Good Morning America.
