The new season of Dancing with the Stars does not start for another 12 days, but traders are already forecasting who will win and who will be eliminated first.
The Season 35 winner market shows The Rookie star Jenna Dewan leading at 25%, followed by Glee alum Harry Shum Jr. at 17% and figure skater Amber Glenn at 15%.

Jenna Dewan
Some fans are criticizing Dewan's casting due to her professional dance experience.
Closer reported that Dewan worked as a backup dancer for singers including Janet Jackson, Missy Elliott, and Christina Aguilera. She also starred in the dance drama Step Up with her ex-husband Channing Tatum. Dewan also hosted the first two seasons of the NBC reality series World of Dance and served as a judge on the Fox reality series So You Think You Can Dance.
Dewan responded to criticism that her professional dance background could give her an unfair advantage. She told Entertainment Weekly that her professional experience does not include ballroom dancing.
“I do not know how to ballroom dance,” Dewan said. “Let’s be clear. It’s two different languages.”
Dewan acknowledged that her professional dance experience could help her in the competition, although she said she has been focused on acting for years.
“There’s parts of my dance training that’s helpful, obviously,” Dewan said. “I’ve learned choreography, I can perform, but there is a certain sense of unlearning for me. It’s a new technique, brand new technique. It almost threw me off initially because I had to unlearn a lot of – I don’t want to say bad habits – but just habits of the style that I’m used to.”
Amber Glenn
Glenn also enters the competition with a performance background as an Olympic figure skater. Glenn told Us Weekly that she sees some parallels between the show's demanding schedule and her Olympic training regimen.
“I think they’re definitely nerve-wracking in different ways,” Glenn said. “I mean, obviously, [the] Olympics is like, I get to perform three times, and that was after 20 years of training. Versus I’m going to be performing every week [on DWTS]. So definitely different but I’m obviously extremely nervous.”
Harry Shum Jr.
The Glee alum also faces questions about an unfair advantage given his own dance background. Shum, 44, worked as a backup dancer for artists including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey before playing dancer Mike Chang on Fox's Glee and appearing in the Step Up film franchise. He is paired with pro Jenna Johnson for Season 35.
“I think everyone’s idea is like, ‘Oh, you dance, so you should be able to dance anything.’ And I mean, that’s just not true,” Shum told PEOPLE at Good Morning America, according to Yahoo Entertainment. “There are hundreds of styles, not dozens, hundreds all over the world.”

Meanwhile the Episode 1 and 2 elimination market shows Summer House alum Ciara Miller tied for the lead at 29%, alongside celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis, with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Tatyana Ali third at 24%.
Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars begins at 8 p.m. Eastern Tuesday, Sept. 15, with a second episode airing Wednesday, Sept. 16, on ABC. Both episodes will stream live on Disney+ and be available the following day on Hulu.
