Tyler Cameron
Cameron showed improvement during Mariah Carey Night, but he remains at the top of Kalshi's elimination market. He scored a 21/30 for his foxtrot routine to Carey’s “#Beautiful.”
Vulture's Maggie Fremont wrote that Burgess was “still a little clunky out on the floor, but the improvement is there. Carrie Ann [Inaba] thinks he looks ‘like a different person’ this week, and Bruno [Tonioli] applauds not just all the foxtrot content in Sharna’s choreography but that he can really see Tyler working on the technique.”
Deadline Hollywood’s Katie Campione wrote, “Tyler managed to skate by last week thanks to Taylor’s elimination, but he seems to know he needs to kick things into high gear if he wants to make it any further in the competition.”
Jackson Olson
Olson celebrated his birthday during rehearsals before performing a waltz to Mariah Carey's “Without You.”
Campione wrote that he’s been trying to make up for a weak performance in Week 3, but he’s “coming back strong.”
“There must be something in the air this week, because he looked like a completely different dancer,” Campione wrote. “’I can see you almost for the first time,’ Bruno tells him.”
Fremont wrote that even though the judges saw some improvement in Olson’s moves, “to me, he is dancing at the same level he came in at; there’s not much gracefulness in his movements.”
Tatyana Ali
Ali had an interesting advantage with her jazz routine performed to Carey’s “Fantasy.” Campione wrote that Ali’s pro dancer, Jan Ravnik, once toured with Carey as a backup dancer. Even with the advantage, she ended up with one of the lower scores of the evening.
“Carrie Ann wanted her to have more energy for a jazz routine,” Campione wrote. “Derek [Hough] and Bruno agree. ‘But overall, I just love seeing what you’re doing,’ Derek says.”
Fremont noted that her latest performance felt like a step down from the previous week.
“At times, it feels like Tatyana is moving in slow motion, and there’s no real power behind her moves,” Fremont wrote. “It’s bubbly and fun, but after that powerhouse quickstep last week, I wanted more. The judges all basically say the same, that Tatyana needs to push a little harder.”
Season 35 Winner
Ezra Frech and professional partner Daniella Karagach remain atop Kalshi’s Season 35 winner market.
Frech leads the market at 56%, followed by Love Island finalist Maura Higgins at 13%, and Grey's Anatomy star Harry Shum Jr. at 12%.
