Jack Lowden is now the odds-on favorite in the Kalshi market for the next James Bond following new comments from Gary Oldman about the casting process.
The market for the next James Bond actor prices Lowden at 61% to land the role, followed by Callum Turner and Jack Barton at 20% each.

What did Gary Oldman say?
The sudden change in the market comes on the heels of comments from actor Gary Oldman during an interview on Canadian television.
Variety’s Alex Ritman reported that Oldman appeared on the Canadian news program The Morning Show, where he said the next Bond actor has already been selected, but has not been publicly announced.
“It’s been rumored that [Lowden] is on the shortlist,” Oldman said. “We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him. They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet.”
Oldman did not say whether Lowden was the actor who had been selected, instead saying his “fingers are crossed for Jack.”
Amazon MGM Studios has not announced the next Bond actor and declined to comment to Variety on Oldman's remarks.

Lowden, Turner and Barton have each led the market at various points. The three actors were less than two points apart on Friday.
All three actors have been linked to the role in recent months. Other actors attached to the lead role in the next James Bond project in rumors or other updates include Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Harris Dickinson. Variety also reported that casting directors were once considering Louis Partridge and Tom Francis for the James Bond role.
Barton had most recently emerged as the market's frontrunner. The New York Post’s Page Six Hollywood column reported in late August that Barton had emerged as a reported frontrunner for the role. The report also said screen tests were planned for several contenders.
GQ’s Kyle MacNeill also reported last month that British presenter and podcaster Richard Osman said he had heard Lowden's name from someone claiming to know the identity of the next Bond.
“Someone told me for definite who the new Bond is the other day, but, I mean, that’s happened before,” Osman said. “The name I’ve heard is Jack Lowden.”
Callum Turner
Turner led the market in May amid reports linking him to the role. Variety’s Ellise Shafer asked Turner about the speculation at the Berlin Film Festival, but he declined to comment.
Turner declined to answer the question “with a slight smirk.”
“You’re right, it’s very early for that question,” Turner said to reporters. “I’m not going to comment on it.”
For now, Lowden holds a 41-point advantage over both Turner and Barton on the Kalshi market, although Amazon MGM Studios has yet to publicly announce its choice for the next James Bond.
