Pro basketball is currently on the cusp of the All-Star break, but Thursday features the last slate of games ahead of this weekend’s break. Of those three contests in action, Milwaukee (22-30) vs. Oklahoma City (42-13) tips off first, and Kalshi’s traders are pricing reigning champion OKC as a heavy favorite.

Milwaukee-Oklahoma City odds

Kalshi is currently giving Oklahoma City, who have played to a 10-4 record against teams from the Eastern Conference this season, an 84% probability to defeat Milwaukee at home.

Not only has OKC been strong in interconference games, but they have been particularly dominant when playing at Paycom Center, where they boast a 58-12 record over the past two years. Still, they will need to shoulder the load collectively with reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (31.8 PPG) still out with an abdominal injury; SGA has missed the past four outings.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee is experiencing its worst season of the decade. The squad is on track to miss the playoffs for the first time since 2015-16. Frustrations are high here, which led many to believe that superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was on the trading block last week. Although “the Greek Freak” is staying put for now, he has not played since January 23 due to an ankle issue.

When Oklahoma City and Milwaukee last clashed on January 21, OKC was victorious at Fiserv Forum by a score of 120-102. However, Antetokounmpo was active that night, producing a double-double.

Further out, OKC has gone 4-1 against Milwaukee since 2024.

OKC is operating with the most effective defense in the association behind a 107.6 defensive rating. Moreover, Kalshi has Oklahoma City priced at 37¢ to repeat as pro basketball champions this season. Oklahoma City also is viewed as more likely than not to win the Western Conference (52%).

The takeaway

Traders are bullish on OKC, both for tonight’s game versus Milwaukee and in the championship market.

Superstars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both out for Thursday’s game, which affords each player ample rest time heading into All-Star weekend. Their respective injuries will be further assessed when the second half resumes on February 19.

Tipoff for Milwaukee-Oklahoma City is 7:30 p.m. ET. National streaming is available via Prime Video.
