Normally I like to pad out this newsletter’s intro a bit, because I get paid by the word. But there’s a lot going on this week. Specifically, there’s a lot happening this afternoon, including an announcement from President Trump, and the Ballon d’Or awards, so let’s cut right to the chase.

This afternoon at 4:00 PM ET, President Trump is scheduled to make a "historic" announcement linking Tylenol to autism. I assume this will be preceded by some questionable short-selling of Kenvue stock, and followed by an announcement for an all-new Trump-brand aspirin.

But at any rate, does this mean you should down a bunch of headache medicine and run off to the nearest blackjack table?

No. Do not do this.

First of all, the claim is expected to center on use of the drug during pregnancy. Secondly, as you might expect, a lot of people are already disputing the link (ya know, like Kenvue, Inc.).

But before we can all start fighting about what Trump says, he has to actually say it.

Today is an absolutely huge day for football fans, as Detroit plays Baltimore in a regular season Monday night game.

And if you enjoy the other kind of football, it’s a big day too, I guess, since the 2025 Ballon d’Or award will be announced at 3:00 PM ET. It’s basically like an MVP award, but it’s open to any professional player in the world.

Ousmane Dembele is the current favorite with an 84% chance of winning, while Lamine Yamal’s chances are at 15%.

Last but not least, tomorrow is a special election for Arizona’s 7th congressional district. And while that isn’t usually that important, a Democratic victory could potentially tip the balance of power in the House enough to force the release of the Epstein Files (see our breakdown here).

The Democrats currently have a 99% chance of winning the seat. But we also offer a margin of victory market, which is more interesting.
