Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo

Last Friday, while visiting Times Square, NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani and his supporters scoffed at a Kalshi billboard showing his chances of winning the Democratic nomination at just 23%.

But if Zohran passed that same billboard today, he'd probably be a lot less dismissive, and might even stop for a selfie.

Overnight, the upstart socialist candidate's odds surged, thanks in part to an Emerson College poll showing Mamdani with a slight lead over former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Kalshi traders now see the candidates as neck and neck, and price Mamdani's chances at 48%.

As you're no doubt aware, President Trump decided to back Israel's ongoing attack on Iran, and deployed B2 Bombers to strike various Iranian nuclear sites. In the wake of the attack, an Iranian spokesperson dismissed further negotiations as meaningless.

Earlier today, Iran also launched a retaliatory missile barrage on U.S. military bases in Qatar (although the missiles were reportedly intercepted).

But despite the ongoing conflict, Kalshi traders still price the odds of a nuclear deal between Iran and the US at 32%, which isn't great, but still seems relatively optimistic, all things considered.

This weekend in Austin, Texas, Tesla began limited service of its driverless robotaxis. Some media outlets were skeptical of the rollout, which was made available to prescreened users and featured a Tesla "safety monitor" riding along in the front seat.

But despite the criticism, the company's stock was up over 8% on Monday, and Kalshi traders price the chances of a public rollout this year at 80%.
