Big Brother exit odds: Rick Devens' chances of eviction climb to 50%

Rick Devens previously ranked among the leaders of Kalshi's Season 28 winner market. This week, he's leading a much different market.

The Week 9 elimination market shows Rick leading at 50%, followed by Angela Murray at 43% and Dee Valladares at 17%. This is the second week in a row that Rick was favored to exit.

Rick and his fellow Icons have faced increased tension in the Big Brother house this week.

The Big Brother Network reported that Rick and Dee got into an argument over Drew Campbell's loyalty.

“Dee thinks Drew knew what Barrett [Pfeiffer] was doing, while Devens believes Drew is solid,” the Big Brother Network wrote. “He eventually tells Dee to shut up and warns her not to piss him off. Somehow, they still manage to part ways amicably.”

Rick also confronted Barrett over his strategy following the latest nominations.

“Later, Devens catches up with Barrett and tells him that this was a terrible move,” the Big Brother Network wrote. “Barrett, meanwhile, thinks the Icons are acting like spoiled brats because they are finally feeling some heat after weeks of running the house.”

The Power of Veto vote didn’t win Rick any favors either. Barrett, Angela Murray, Dee, Rick, Yash and Taylor Brown competed in the veto competition, “which means neither Barrett nor Angela chose Drew, despite Yash previously telling Drew that he would pick him,” the Big Brother Network wrote.

Big Brother Junkies reported that Drew appeared to be maneuvering with the veterans ahead of the eviction vote.

“Drew promises a vet his vote, but his word means nothing,” Big Brother Junkies reported. “Plus, they need three votes to stay and at best, it will be Drew + Devens/Dee voting for the other. Assuming they don’t just flip and vote out their other Survivor.”

Barrett also didn’t have a good week, even though it was his birthday. Maybe the house will cut him some slack, but that hostility has to go somewhere and will definitely affect the vote this week.

“Vets made sure of that,” Big Brother Junkies wrote. “With all that gushing over the vets earlier, I am not a fan of what they did to Barrett this week. They can say they love him all they want, but they really made him miserable for playing the game. As much as they pretend to respect the game, it was a good move. Well, maybe, As I said earlier in the week, it was a pick-your-poison week. Go after Yash and let vets cruise until they pick you off, or go after vets and let Yash pick you off.”

Rick, once among the leading names in the Season 28 winner market, is no longer among its top three. Yash Patel currently leads at 26%, followed by Dee Valladares at 15% and Barrett Pfeiffer at 12%.
