Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New Orleans Saints, Saturday, August 15, 2026

With both teams' top units held out, New Orleans' favorite status runs more on home field and roster depth than on-field pedigree. The two sides already got a full look at each other's starters in Thursday's joint practice, which is why neither coaching staff felt the need to expose those players to live preseason snaps Saturday.

Margin of Victory

Kalshi's market has New Orleans priced at 50% to win by more than 2.5 points, as of this writing.

Point Total

The total is priced at 50% to go over 35.5 points scored, as of this writing.

With the regular starters sitting, backups will carry both offenses. Jacksonville is expected to lean on quarterback Carter Bradley for significant snaps, behind Lawrence on the depth chart, while New Orleans has already named Spencer Rattler as the quarterback taking the opening drive, ahead of presumed 2026 starter Tyler Shough.

The headline personnel news belongs to Jacksonville's Travis Hunter: the two-way standout worked snaps on both offense and defense during Thursday's joint practice, his first extended live work of the summer after missing nine months with a knee injury. Coen has not confirmed whether Hunter will play Saturday, but the door is open.

Beyond Hunter, Saturday is mostly a proving ground for roster-spot battles. Jacksonville is getting its first live look at its 2026 draft class, a ten-player group making its on-field debut, while New Orleans is using the game to evaluate younger players and reserves behind a starting unit that already got its work in against Jacksonville's ones on Thursday.
