Kalshi traders price Oklahoma City at 55% to win it all

The first round of the pro basketball playoffs is wrapping up, and traders are already making their picks for each conference and the championship series in June.

The Eastern Conference championship market shows Boston leading at 30%, followed by New York at 27% and Cleveland at 25%.

In the Western Conference championship market, Oklahoma City is priced with a commanding lead at 67%, followed by San Antonio at 30% and Los Angeles at 4%.

Traders are also making their picks for the championship, pricing Oklahoma City to win it all at 55%, followed by San Antonio at 21% and Boston at 10%.

Boston may lead the Eastern Conference picks market, but it has not been the easiest playoff run.

The Boston Globe's Tara Sullivan wrote Boston once led a "charmed season," but now they are facing a Game 7 scenario against Philadelphia following a 106-93 Game 6 loss in Philly.

"You might call it inexplicable, but only if you didn't watch it," Sullivan wrote. "The team that won Game 3 so easily just this past Sunday? Disappeared by Tuesday, and nowhere to be found again Thursday."

Sullivan also noted Boston looked "gassed" and "down to the last few drops in their tank" as they head to the end of the playoff series, although shooting guard Jaylen Brown does not seem too discouraged.

"The last two games weren't the best, but you move on. I'm looking forward to it. I'm excited for Game 7."

The playoff picture is not nearly as bleak or uncertain for Oklahoma City.

They swept Phoenix 4-0, dominating almost every quarter except for one in Game 2 and two in Game 3. They also swept their first round for the third straight year.

As The Oklahoman's Joe Mussatto writes, "no team will enter Round 2 of the playoffs more rested" than Oklahoma City, even with Jalen Williams suffering a hamstring injury following Game 2.
