In February 2027, the last two remaining playoff football teams will clash in Super Bowl LXI in Southern California.
Scheduled for February 14, Super Bowl LXI will feature the AFC and NFC champions at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where they will compete for the National Football League’s ultimate prize, a Super Bowl victory and the Lombardi Trophy.
Heading into the 2026 NFL regular season, the Los Angeles Rams, who play their home games in SoFi Stadium, are the favorites to take the crown. But a full regular season of games must be played first, with odds shifting week to week as injuries and breakouts occur.
As playoff odds and Super Bowl chances shift, traders and football fans can follow Kalshi’s real-time markets to get a clearer picture on the state of the league.

When and where is Super Bowl LXI?
Super Bowl LXI will be played on Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in California. This marks the second time in the last five years that the sport’s biggest event will be held at SoFi Stadium, the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.
SoFi Stadium also hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022, when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 to hoist the trophy. And while the Rams are the favorites again this year, the fact that the game is once more being hosted in their home stadium is merely coincidence as the NFL plans the Super Bowl site well in advance of the season. For example, Super Bowl LXII, which will be hosted in 2028, is already scheduled for play at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
The site also holds some historical significance as well. The first Super Bowl was hosted in nearby Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in January 1967, approximately 60 years before the NFL will host Super Bowl LXI near Los Angeles.
Historical context
Second time at SoFi Stadium: Super Bowl LXI marks the second time the venue has hosted the game, following the Rams’ 23-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI in 2022.
60 years since Super Bowl I: The game returns to the Los Angeles area approximately 60 years after Super Bowl I was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in January 1967.

What can last year’s Super Bowl results tell us about Super Bowl LXI predictions?
In Super Bowl LX, the Seattle Seahawks handily defeated the New England Patriots 29-13, capturing the franchise’s second ever Super Bowl victory in the process. The team won their first Super Bowl in 2014.
Though they walked away from the season as the league’s best team last year, the Seahawks did not begin the year in the limelight. Instead, prior to the run which made them Super Bowl LX champions, Seattle was ranked as the No. 17 team in the ESPN preseason rankings, well behind the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Much like last year’s Eagles squad, the Seahawks are expected to contend for a Super Bowl title again this year. With odds of 7% to win it all, the Seahawks trail the Los Angeles Rams (13%) and Buffalo Bills (10%), tied with the Kansas City Chiefs as the third-most-likely champion according to Kalshi traders.
But evidenced by the Seahawks meteoric rise last season, preseason projections can drastically change throughout the year.
A team’s outlook will ebb and flow during a 17-game regular season as injuries, trades, and breakout seasons take place. Prediction market prices will react to new information around the league, with traders repricing championship odds in real-time.
As a result, it is likely that the Super Bowl outlook will look much different in January than when the season starts in September as teams jockey for position to represent their conferences in Inglewood, California.
Which teams are most likely to reach Super Bowl LXI?
The road to Super Bowl LXI will begin on September 9 when the 2026 NFL regular season begins. The 18-week, 17-game regular season will run through January 10, 2027, at which time playoff qualifiers will be decided and the playoff seeding will be set.
Once the playoff calendar begins, NFL teams will go through three rounds of matchups before the NFC and AFC champions will square off in Super Bowl LXI.
The Los Angeles Rams remain the favorite of traders to win it all, priced at 13%, with the Buffalo Bills next closest at 10% and the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs tied at 7%.
As the title favorites, the Rams, who strengthened their roster in the offseason with the addition of superstar defensive end Myles Garrett and the return of former Ram and All-Pro defensive tackle, Aaron Donald, are also the leading contender to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks follow just behind, priced at 14% to represent the conference in Super Bowl LXI, while the San Francisco 49ers sit at 13%, the Philadelphia Eagles at 11%, the Detroit Lions at 9%, and the Dallas Cowboys at 6%.
On the other half of the league, it is the Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen that have the best odds to represent the AFC. Kalshi traders give the Bills a 17% chance to take the conference, narrowly edging out the Baltimore Ravens at 16%, with the Kansas City Chiefs further back at 14%. The New England Patriots, who represented the AFC in Super Bowl LX last year, are priced at just 8% to reprise their role as one of the two teams playing for the NFL Super Bowl title in Inglewood, near Los Angeles, at the end of the season.
Based on preseason odds, traders are expecting a much tighter conference race in the AFC than the NFC where the Rams are the clear favorites.
Who will perform at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show?
The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the most highly anticipated entertainment events of the year.
But as the NFL season nears, the league has still not announced who will headline or perform at the famous Super Bowl halftime show at Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles.
Historically, the NFL will formally announce the act early during the NFL regular season as it begins its promotion of the sport’s signature conclusion. For example, Bad Bunny was announced as the performer at Super Bowl LX during the opening month of the 2025-2026 NFL season.
While no performer has yet been announced, Kalshi traders have made predictions about those most likely to be chosen to perform during the Super Bowl LXI set, with Justin Bieber the favorite at 61% as the NFL regular season approaches.
Other artists with notable odds to perform at the Super Bowl include Miley Cyrus and Jay-Z, who are priced at 53% and 51%, respectively.
Beyonce, who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 and performed as a special guest in 2016, is priced at 12% to perform.
Meanwhile, Swift, who is married to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is priced at 5% to perform.
When Super Bowl LVI was hosted in SoFi Stadium during 2022, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and others performed the halftime show in Los Angeles.
Super Bowl LXI outlook
There are more than five months of football separating the start of the 2026 NFL regular season from Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium, leaving lots of room for the NFL championship picture to change.
For now, the Los Angeles Rams hold the distinction as the favorite, with Kalshi traders pricing them at 13% to hoist the Lombardi Trophy on February 14, 2027. But SoFi Stadium is not guaranteed to host the Rams when the Super Bowl takes place next Valentine’s Day.
Other NFC foes, like the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles are priced at 14% and 11% to represent the conference in the Rams’ place in Inglewood.
As for the AFC, the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens are the most likely qualifiers from the AFC, priced at 17% and 16%, respectively to win the conference. But odds to win the Super Bowl are even longer, with Kalshi traders making odds 10% and 8%, respectively. Should they do so, it would be the Bills’ first Super Bowl victory.
