The Milwaukee Brewers earned tight victories in the first two games of the World Series, providing fans with a strong dose of the drama that typically accompanies October baseball.
But that drama was absent from Game 3 on Monday when the Brewers dismantled the Tampa Bay Rays in their home ballpark, notching 16 hits while racing to a 10-1 victory.
The win has placed the Brewers within one victory of grabbing the franchise’s first ever World Series title. Will they complete the sweep and end the baseball season on Tuesday in Game 4?
Kalshi traders make them favorites to do so, pricing them at 52% in the contest.

Rays vs. Brewers: World Series Game 4 preview
The Rays have lost consecutive games in which their top starting pitchers took the mound, dropping Game 2 behind Drew Rasmussen and Game 3 with Freddy Peralta.
Now they’ll turn to right-hander Griffin Jax, who will make his third appearance in the postseason and his first since October 15.
The right-hander last started Game 3 of the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians, allowing three earned runs over four innings of work. After a lengthy delay, he'll start the game against a Brewers squad that was tops against right-handers in wRC+ this season. Jax, who has spent time as a starter and a reliever, started 23 games for the Rays this year and finished the regular season on a high note, not allowing a run in his final three outings over the span of 13 innings.
The Tampa Bay pitcher did face the Brewers early in the regular season this year, completing one inning of work over the course of two appearances. In one of those appearances Jax did not record an out and allowed three earned runs.
The Brewers have not yet named their Game 4 starter. Brandon Woodruff, a late selection for the World Series roster, was reportedly told to prepare, but opted to close out the ninth inning in Game 3. He said he’d “try to be ready to go” in Game 4, but it seems unlikely that Milwaukee would push the oft-injured righty.
Instead, Milwaukee could turn to a few different options to open the game, like right-hander Dustin May or left-hander Kyle Harrison, both of whom have starting pitching experience. Plus, after a lopsided Game 3 victory, the Milwaukee bullpen, which has been one of the most dominant storylines of the entire postseason, will be well rested in a potential series clinching Game 4.
Traders price the Brewers at 52% to complete the sweep and lift the Commissioner's Trophy on Tuesday.
Can the Rays complete a historic comeback?
After dropping each of the first three games, the Rays odds to win the World Series have fallen below 5%, according to Kalshi traders.
Only one team in postseason history has erased a 3-0 series deficit, but that came during the ALCS, not the World Series. If Tampa Bay is to win their first ever World Series title, they’ll need to make history to do so.
“We’ve got to win that one game that we have tomorrow and go from there,” Rays leadoff man Yandy Diaz said after Game 3.
The Rays are priced at 48% to find a way through Game 4, and if they do force a Game 5, they'll take the field again on Wednesday at Tropicana Field.
Only four teams trailing 3-0 in a postseason series have ended up forcing a Game 6, but should the Rays win the next two, the two teams will have an off day to travel back to Milwaukee.
As the regular season’s best team, the Brewers maintain home field advantage if a Game 6 and Game 7 are necessary.
Contreras, Chourio top MVP race
Before the series began, Brewers backstop William Contreras and outfielder Jackson Chourio were the top two candidates for World Series MVP, according to Kalshi traders.
Heading into a potential final game, Contreras and Chourio remain at the top, this time with even better odds to earn MVP honors for the series.
Contreras' odds have jumped to 54% before Game 4. The Milwaukee catcher has notched multiple hits in each of the first three games, driving in three runs in the process. He's also cut down multiple baserunners attempting to steal and caught every inning of the series.
Chourio has been equally as impressive. The young outfielder added another four hits and a stolen base to his tally in Game 3, bringing his World Series average up to .571. The Brewers leadoff man is now priced at 45% to win the award.
Beyond the leading offensive figures, Brewers reliever Aaron Ashby, who has yet to allow a run this postseason, is next in line. But after not pitching in Game 3 thanks to a Brewers blowout, Ashby's price sits at 1.6%.
