This week's Dancing with the Stars has a Horror Movie theme, but the scary moments will go beyond just the songs. Episode 8 will also feature a confirmed double elimination.
Jackson Olson is currently leading the elimination market at 68% while Tyler Cameron is 10 points behind him at 58%. Tatyana Ali is a distant third at 31%.

Double elimination
After an emotional “Dedication Night” theme last week, the judges did not send any dancing couples home. Instead, they announced there will be a double elimination this week.
Co-host Julianne Hough revealed during the broadcast, “On such a special night, we didn’t want anyone to be sent home.” She confirmed that “all of the scores and votes will carry over to next week.”
Fellow co-host Alfonso Ribeiro confirmed, “in keeping with Horror Movie Night, two couples will be axed.”
Dancing with the Stars has not confirmed whether the votes from last week will be weighted differently than those from the forthcoming horror night, but it’s safe to assume they will be evenly weighted for a new “super-score.”
This is not the first time the show has opted for this type of cadence: the current season 35 began with a double elimination, and many past seasons have employed the tactic to narrow down the field.
Jackson Olson
Olson has been in hot water with fans already this season for an unsavory Instagram comment. Even though his dancing has steadily improved over the season and earned him praise from judges, his last-place score last week has Kalshi traders believing this will be the end of the road for him as he’ll likely have the least amount of votes carrying over to this week.
Reddit fans are split, with some deeming him a “99.9% goner” while others cite his massive online fan following as a reason for his survival as he’ll be able to galvanize enough fan votes to keep him safe.
Tyler Cameron
Cameron's 58% odds are fueled mostly by his technical skill challenges. He performed at a low in week 3's Yacht Rock night, but bounced back in week 5's Super Bowl Night.
Cameron hit a high, both technically and emotionally, during last week’s Dedication Night when he scored a viable 32/40 for a routine that announced he and his wife Tate Madden were expecting a baby girl.
But even though that emotional moment likely garnered a significant amount of votes, Kalshi traders still don’t believe it’s enough to keep him in the competition.
Tatyana Ali
Similar to Cameron, Ali had a rough start to the competition but has persevered to become a dependable dancer. Still, her scores are often in the middle of the leaderboard, which is a historically vulnerable place to be when it comes to eliminations.
Kalshi traders currently see her as a potential elimination, though Olson and Cameron are more at risk.
The expected winner
None of the buzz around the double elimination has been able to touch Ezra Frech, who has been the odds-on favorite to win season 35 since late September. His odds have now hit a season-high 68%.
Amber Glenn and Maura Higgins are fighting for second place, at 17% and 4% respectively, but they have a lot of ground to make up to catch Frech.
