Adam Hamilton's chances of victory have climbed from less than 10% in early February to 63% on November 2nd, a remarkable reversal in a state that hasn't elected a Democratic US Senator since 1932. Marshall's odds have meanwhile fallen to 37%, as recent polling continues to show an increasingly competitive contest.

Hamilton's Kalshi Odds Reach Historic High
Hamilton's rise on Kalshi has accelerated considerably over the past several weeks, with his chances of victory climbing from just 17% in early September to 40% by October 28th.
The Democratic challenger's odds continued to increase heading into November, reaching 53% on Sunday before climbing to approximately 63% on Monday, a new all-time high.
The movement represents a significant shift in a state President Donald Trump carried by more than 16 points in 2024. Hamilton, a prominent United Methodist pastor, has sought to appeal to moderate Republicans and independent voters while emphasizing his willingness to work across party lines.
His campaign has also focused on rising costs for groceries, healthcare, and energy, along with the impact of tariffs and economic uncertainty on Kansas farmers.

Recent Polling Shows Hamilton Leading Marshall
While Hamilton's chances of victory have surged on Kalshi, traditional polling has also indicated a considerably tighter contest than many anticipated earlier in the election cycle.
According to USA Today's October 30th reporting, a Washington Post-Schar School poll conducted October 22nd through 26th found Hamilton receiving 52% support compared with Marshall's 43%, a nine-point advantage.
Another survey conducted October 26th through 28th by Emerson College showed Hamilton leading 49% to 45%, with a reported margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
Marshall has also faced criticism over reports that his former medical practice sued hundreds of patients over unpaid medical bills. The Republican incumbent has defended the practice while continuing to emphasize his conservative record and support for President Trump.
Trump Returns as Senate Control Hangs in Balance
With Election Day approaching, President Trump returned to Kansas on Sunday for a campaign rally in Salina, hoping to consolidate Republican support for Marshall.
The visit marked Trump's second campaign appearance in Kansas in recent weeks, while Vice President JD Vance has also visited the state twice in support of the incumbent senator. However, Hamilton has continued to emphasize his appeal to voters across party lines, including Republicans dissatisfied with Washington. The campaign has also become the most expensive election in Kansas history as both parties direct significant resources toward the closely watched race.
The national importance of the contest is reflected in Kalshi's Senate control market, where traders currently give Democrats a 75% chance of winning control of the chamber compared with Republicans' 25%.
Meanwhile, Kalshi's Blue Wave market currently shows an 87.5% chance of Democrats securing at least 218 House seats and 49 Senate seats following the midterms. The growing possibility of significant Democratic gains has added further attention to competitive races like Kansas.

Takeaway:
Adam Hamilton has experienced a remarkable rise on Kalshi, climbing from less than 10% in February to approximately 63% just one day before Election Day. Recent polling has also shown the Democratic challenger leading Roger Marshall, despite Kansas' longstanding Republican voting history.
Trump's final campaign push, unusually heavy political spending, and the growing national focus on Senate control have made Kansas one of the most closely watched races of the midterms.
