The Big Game is only a few days away, and while some viewers are preparing snacks, others are already looking ahead to the celebrity-packed commercials.

Overall, Kalshi traders seem to think actress Sydney Sweeney is one of the more likely celebs to appear in an ad during the pro football championship. Markets show a 93% chance the Euphoria star shows up sometime on Sunday.

Six months ago, Sweeney starred in an ad campaign for American Eagle jeans featuring a play on the word “genes.”

The company faced an on online backlash, with critics saying the ad promoted eugenics. Other critics said the ad hypersexualized women.

Last year, Sweeney appeared in another commercial during the Big Game for Hellmann’s Mayonnaise. The commercial starred Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan performing a recreation of the famous Katz’s Deli scene from the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally. Sweeney appeared at the end of the ad and said, “I’ll have what she’s having.”

Aside from Sweeney, other celebrities priced as likely to appear include Kevin Hart (81%), Snoop Dogg (80%), and Timothy Chalamet (69%).

What brands will run Big Game ads?

Some of the usual heavy hitters of advertising (Pepsi, Skittles, Budweiser, etc.) will air ads during Sunday’s Big Game. But market prices indicate that there may be a few surprises in store.

Traders show a 58% chance that Paramount+ will have an ad during the game, even though the game is being broadcast on NBC and its streaming service Peacock.

The same market shows only a 14% chance that the AI company Anthropic will run an ad during the game.

The takeaway:

Kalshi markets now predict:

  • Sydney Sweeney appearing in an ad: 93%

  • Paramount+ airing an ad during the game: 59%

  • Anthropic airing an ad during the game: 14%
