We’re still a ways out from the February 14, 2027 Super Bowl LXI halftime show, but Kalshi traders are already predicting Miley Cyrus will light up the football championship game’s halftime show.
Cyrus, who just released her tenth studio album Bass Persuades, currently leads the market at 63%. Rapper Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation partners with the NFL to program the widely watched halftime show, is not far behind her with 46% odds to take the stage.

Who could be named the halftime show performer?
After the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny was a massive success (despite some select outrage), it’s possible that Jay-Z will choose himself to take the stage next. However, the Kalshi markets are favoring Miley Cyrus instead.
Cyrus rose to fame on the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana before evolving into a solo musical act. She has released ten studio albums, including the latest release Bass Persuades, which dropped on September 18, 2026.
In conjunction with her new music, Cyrus announced two October 2026 shows at the Hollywood Bowl after swearing off touring earlier in her career. According to Entertainment Weekly, there were nearly 1.5 million people in the queue to buy only 35,000 available tickets (17,500 at each show).
Cyrus commented on the demand in an appearance on the Zane Lowe Show, hinting that this response helped her confirm her interest in doing a residency. “This is the ultimate dress rehearsal. I’ve learned now through the queue that my calculations are correct and people will come to me. I don’t need to drive to you,” she said.
That demand coupled with her minimal live appearances could be the perfect storm for her to take on the Super Bowl halftime show. But in the same Zane Lowe interview, she also called stadium performances “isolating,” and revealed that “singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love.”
In second position is Jay-Z, the billionaire rapper behind Roc Nation who has hand-selected the Super Bowl halftime show every year since the partnership between his company and the NFL was formed in 2019. His intimate involvement as the league’s live music entertainment strategist could complicate his odds for performing, though he ultimately has final say in the decision.
Jay-Z is also the subject of a new 8-episode docuseries titled Jay-Z in 8 airing on HBO Max, which tackles his 30-year career by dissecting over 25 of his biggest hits. The interviews with Jay-Z and producer Rick Rubin speak to his illustrious career and vast catalogue. Not for nothing, he is one of the biggest artists who has never played the Super Bowl halftime show (notably, his wife Beyoncé did in 2013).
In a distant third place at 12% is Harry Styles, whose 30-night Madison Square Garden residency kicked off in August 2026. Styles just announced a follow-up tour kicking off in the US in April 2027, meaning he would be available for the halftime show if the call is made.
