The Hoosiers have outscored their first three opponents 145-16, including back-to-back shutouts of Howard and Western Kentucky.
Northwestern listed 14 players as out on Wednesday's Big Ten availability report, including starting offensive lineman Ezomo Oratokhai and defensive end Callen Campbell, per 247Sports. Starting defensive back Braden Turner was listed as doubtful. Indiana ruled out running back Khobie Martin, receiver LeBron Bond and cornerback Carson Williams. Cornerback A.J. Harris is doubtful, and kicker Nico Radicic is questionable after missing two games with a back injury.
Indiana edge rushers Stephen Daley and Kellan Wyatt came off the availability report after previously carrying questionable tags. Both won a preliminary injunction against the NCAA on Wednesday, clearing them to play for the rest of the season.
Both quarterbacks arrive as transfers with clean records. Indiana's Josh Hoover has thrown for 649 yards and 10 touchdowns through three games. Northwestern's Aidan Chiles, formerly of Michigan State, is completing 67% of his passes, and the Wildcats forced four turnovers in last week's 41-7 win over Colorado.
