The pro football championship is finally here. With kickoff between Seattle and New England just a few hours away, Kalshi’s traders have driven this year’s Big Game market volume above $200 million.

As one of the most-watched sporting events of the year, it’s no surprise that Kalshi offers various auxiliary markets on the Big Game, including a market on “What the announcers say?

(Which brands will advertise during the Big Game 2026? See Kalshi’s market.)

In 2026, NBC is the official broadcaster of the Big Game, which means play-by-play man Mike Tirico and color commentator Cris Collinsworth will be on the call at Levi’s Stadium. And Kalshi traders are pricing in what the aforementioned announcers will say.

To be clear, this market does not extend to the sideline reporters, pregame panelists, or postgame panelists. The action is solely dependent on whether or not said phrase is spoken by either Tirico (play-by-play) or Collinsworth (color commentator).

The favorites: ‘Safety,’ ‘MVP,’ ‘Lombardi’

Kalshi’s traders are giving Tirico/Collinsworth a 95% probability to say “safety.” Given that "safety" represents two defensive positions in addition to a scoring play when the quarterback is sacked in his own end zone, that high price makes sense.

Phrases such as “MVP” (96¢) and “Lombardi” (93¢) have also received considerable volume. Naturally, a Big Game MVP award will be presented by the end of the night, so it seems fair to assume that the announcers might mention it. Meanwhile, “Lombardi” is the name bestowed upon the league’s championship trophy as an homage to Green Bay’s famous coach.

Six-time champion and former-New England quarterback Tom Brady is also listed amongst the favorites. Traders are displaying a 93% chance for the announcers to mention “Tom Brady” on air. From there, former-Seattle stars Marshawn Lynch (68¢) and Russell Wilson (73¢) are both in the mix. Brady, Lynch, and Wilson were all participants when New England and Seattle played for the title in 2015.

The field: ‘Golden Gate,’ ‘Gronk,’ ‘Mahomes’

Further down the list, traders are taking phrases like “Golden Gate” (65¢), “Mahomes” (70¢) and “Gronk” (65¢). With the Big Game happening in the Bay Area, NBC will almost certainly air a shot of the world-famous bridge that connects San Francisco and Marin County. Also, Collinsworth has developed a tendency to rave about Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, even when he is not playing.

Kalshi’s traders also have a few football-specific phrases at an interesting price point. At this time, “no good” has a 48% likelihood of being said by one of the announcers. From there, “roughing the passer” is tagged with only a 25% probability. However, that specific penalty has only been called twice in the Big Game since 2010, per NFLRefStats/X.

Despite President Donald Trump stating that he will not attend the championship game in Santa Clara, “Trump” is trading at 24¢ on Kalshi to be said by Tirico or Collinsworth on air.

Slightly ahead of the President, “Portnoy” shows a 27¢ price tag. The sports media personality recently made headlines when Front Office Sports reported he was not banned after being allegedly caught falsifying credentials for the Big Game in 2019.

The takeaway

Kalshi’s traders price Seattle with a 68% chance of defeating New England this time around. However, when it comes to what the announcers will say on air, “safety,” “MVP,” “Lombardi,” and “Tom Brady” are considered to be the most probable winners.

Kalshi markets now forecast:

Announcers Mike Tirico and/or Cris Collinsworth to say:

  • “Safety”: 95%

  • “MVP”: 96%

  • “Lombardi”: 93%

  • “Tom Brady”: 93%

  • “Marshawn Lynch”: 68%
