While tonight appears quiet, traders still expect an elimination before the end of Week 5. The market for the Week 5 elimination shows Jen is still in the lead at 52%, followed closely by Amora at 49%, and Gal at 37%.
Why no elimination tonight?
One possible explanation is that viewers expect producers to save the elimination for the end of the week's storyline after Movie Night reshaped several relationships.
Plus, there’s already been plenty of drama in Episode 25 thanks to Movie Night, the point in the series where the contestants witness clips of their naughtiest behavior on the series. The clips the contestants saw created some of the most drama in a single episode all season.
What’s up with Jen?
Jen's elimination odds may have risen after Tuesday's Movie Night exposed new tensions inside the villa.
Vulture’s Kathleen Walsh recapped the infamous Movie Night episode and noticed that Jen’s reaction to one of the clips may cost her with the voters.
Kenzie has been on a secret kissing spree with some of the men in the house “while she’s coupled with someone else.” So when Jen learns one of those men was Gal, she freaks out “because Kayda delivers the news of the kiss to Jen before Kenzie has a chance to, and it now looks as if Kenzie has intentionally been keeping this from Jen.”
Walsh also said it feels unfair that Jen is the target of everyone’s ire on the show, “especially since the true enemy in all of this is clearly Gal. This is not peak girlhood.”
This seems to be natural behavior for Kenzie. US Weekly spoke to Kenzie after Tuesday’s episode when Dylan learned she made out with Gal. She defended her behavior saying, “To me, a kiss is like a handshake. I am just seeing if there is chemistry.”
What’s up with Amora?
Things weren’t as eventful for Amora during Movie Night, even though she had “her own separate video, apparently.”
Apparently, she avoided any major drama and the traders may believe she escaped the worst of the fallout while "pondering the size of the bullet she just dodged."
The drama created by Movie Night seemed to overshadow her behavior in the clip. Things were so bad all at once that the group didn’t have time to notice Amora’s clip.
“Melanie is crying silently, and Dylan is housing his popcorn while Sincere attempts to explain himself,” Walsh wrote. “All of Movie Night would be a lot more interesting if this were not already well-trodden ground by now. But I’m prepared to eat my words if this is what finally convinces Melanie to leave Sincere for good.”
With no elimination expected tonight, traders appear focused on how the fallout from Movie Night will influence the next public vote, leaving Jen and Amora as the market's most vulnerable contestants heading into the end of Week 5.
